Illustration Series – Grok Learning

This section is a collection of characters and books which were designed by me when I was working with an Ed-Tech Company named “Grok Learning”. We as designers, used to study the complex engineering concepts designed for school students from grade 5th to 10th; and come up with concepts and stories. In a way the ideas and designs used to bridge the communication gap in a very simplified yet fun way.

meet the characters

Instead of creating different or plain stories, we designed stories around these characters. These were the key characters which were later used for animation of their course materials. They were designed to explain complex concepts of IoT, Data Science, 3D Printing and Robotics.

they were used for…

Animations… Here are few of the stills from the Animated Videos-

adi and arya were quite popular within the children, so yes, they were the stars for our course kit packaging as well!

Using these characters on the school kid’s course kits made the work easier for the engineers and teachers to differentiate them from the college kid’s course kits…. another problem solved by design!

we featured them on
the posters, brochures
and many more collaterals..

Not just the characters,
but we had a complete set of books Published as a supporting material for the post-learning revisions

A set of 3 books were introduced-
IoT (Internet of Things)
3D Printing
Robotics- Simple Machines.

These books were designed for the students’ revision sessions so that the kids are upto date and can refer to learn from it , whenever they want.

but,
The Challenge was to keep it fun…

Every page had to communicate, question and interactively teach them. Many students don’t tend to read, so, we designed content using the real-life examples only by introducing a free colourful zone to it. These books received a very well response from the kids as they knew the solutions and were in awe with the illustrative explanations.
Fun Fact! – Parents found it much more interesting than the kids.. hehe.
